As a freelance writer and designer I have written articles and designed projects for many different scrapbook entities.
Most recently, I have had the opportunity to write several "Feature" articles for the newly launched Chicagoland Scrapbooker Magazine. In the winter 2012 issue I wrote a feature article on a home decor "Photo Tray" project. This project is a wonderful gift for any holiday, wedding, birthday or vacation. In the spring 2013 issue I updated and rewrote an article on die cutting machings. I had fun visiting with friends to test out their machines. This gave me the opportunity to try 7 or 8 different die cut machines and then be able to list the pros and cons of each machine. I look forward to another opportunity to write a few more feature articles for CSM.
I also have had the pleasure of writing for the ASK CS column. Scrapbookers and cardmakers submit questions with problems they want to find answers for or questions they may have about products on the market or any other things they have on their minds that relate to scrapbooking and cardmaking. Then, I researched the question to be able to give the best answer and advice possible. I have really enjoyed doing this and sometimes the questions have been quite thought provoking and some have seemed quite simple, but that may be because I am already knowledgeable about the question. But each question has been an opportunity to expand my own knowledge, learn new techniques and research things I had not considered before.
